There you have it. It makes her, quite simply, "better". I see this example every week on the Soccer Monkey pitch. Players like Marta, with her world class footskills and Ali Riley with her exceptional work rate inspire my daughter and her Soccer Monkey team mates to be....."better" in a way that I can't coach them.
I'm sure that my daughter and other WPS fans like her can find other ways to have fun. I'm also quite sure that fathers and daughters will find other ways to spend time together. If we lose WPS in the Bay Area, I will always look back fondly on the games I have attended with my daughter and I know the memories of it will stick with her for a lifetime.
If you believe that young girls should have the same opportunities as boys in life, if you truly believe it, then now (before Nov 15) is the time to act. Now is the time to secure these lifetimes of memories for future generations of girls.
